Scribes' 2023 Annual CLE Program on Friday, October 13, 2023

Scribes–The American Society of Legal Writers will be hosting our 2023 Annual CLE Program on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. (ET), 12:00-2:00 p.m. (CT), 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (PT). The program will be held virtually via Zoom. Join us for an exciting panel discussion on “The Use of AI in Legal Writing.” This thought-provoking and timely program examines the impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) on legal writing. Featuring a distinguished panel, this program will discuss the benefits and risks of using AI tools like ChatGPT. Our panel, moderated by Justice (ret.) John G. Browning, a former Texas appellate justice who chairs the State Bar of Texas AI Taskforce, will look at what AI is, how it is being used and misused by lawyers, how AI can be used ethically and effectively in legal writing, and how courts are reacting to the use of generative AI. Is AI the “future of legal writing?” Join our program and find out. After the panel discussion, join us in recognizing some of the 2023 Scribes award winners, including Book Award winner Professor Frederick Schauer. Professor Schauer will join us live to discuss his award-winning book The Proof: Uses of Evidence in Law, Politics, and Everything Else. Learn more here: https://www.scribes.org/2023_cle/.
