Scribes—The American Society of Legal Writers congratulates the winners of its 2025 Brief-Writing Award, a national honor recognizing exceptional legal writing by law students in interscholastic moot court competitions.
This year, Scribes received 35 submissions—each a brief that had already earned a “best brief” recognition in a regional or national moot court competition. After an initial review by professors, judges, and practicing attorneys, top briefs advanced to Scribes’ Brief-Writing Award Committee, which deliberated and selected the top three.
